Purpose of This Job
To support our Production & Education team in the development of high-school level STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) blended learning content and offerings.
Desired Results
- Develop new STEM blended learning content and offerings
- Contribute to the maintenance of our existing online and printed learning content materials
- Support educators in the delivery of online live lessons
- Report data is accurately captured to enable accurate reporting & helpful changes to processes and products
Skills, Competencies and Qualifications
- 1 – 3 years of experience teaching or tutoring any STEM subject(s) at a high-school or university level
- Hold or be studying towards a Maths/Engineering/Science oriented degree. Diploma or related qualification in Education is beneficial
- Ability and willingness to work across subject domains, particularly within the STEM subjects
- Sound understanding of learning design principles, strategies of online learning and commonly used digital learning components for teaching and assessment
- Confidence in managing digital learning resources and navigating online learning management systems
- Excellent computer literacy and document processing skills, particularly using (but not limited to) Microsoft Word and Google Suite
- Experience teaching, tutoring or supporting the delivery of live online lessons is beneficial
- Understanding and application of basic User Experience Design principles as they relate to online learning content development
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively and proactively in a team environment
- Analytical and proactive problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt to change and innovation readily and effectively

Key Responsibilities
Educational Content Development
- Adhere to quality standards and sound learning design principles to develop engaging and effective blended learning content
- Work effectively under the guidance of subject matter experts and other team members in the Production & Education team
- Use digital content development tools and content management systems such as Microsoft Word, Adobe Suite, Vimeo, Zoom, Google Suite and our own LMS
- Maintain and improve existing print and online learning content
- Work with the broader team to ensure a streamlined user experience of learning content on the LMS
Teaching Support
- Support educators delivering online live lessons if and when required
- Answer learners’ content-related questions via our live chat function if and when required
Reporting
- Data capturing for reporting
