How does this course work?
The whole Masterclass takes place online! No need to move. No worrying about transport. All you need is a computer, tablet or mobile device and an internet connection! The course will run for 4 weeks with each week focusing on critical sections and topics that need to be mastered before learners write their final exams.
This intensive course, or bootcamp as it might be known in other circles, will start on Saturday the 14th September, just after the Matric learners are likely to have finished their trials exams.
The weeks will start on a Friday evening and end on the following week’s Friday afternoon. Starting on a Friday offers learners the opportunity to get ahead on a week by studying on the weekend. Each week will have curated teaching videos for learners to work through that will help revise key concepts. The amount of time needed to work through these videos will be 2 – 3 hours and so having access to these videos over the weekend is helpful. Further to the videos, each week learners will be given a revision sheet that they need to work through and practice key concepts over the week. This is where the magic happens. Guided practice is, what we believe, incredibly helpful to learners at this stage in their learning. And it doesn’t stop here! Every week on a Friday from 15:00 – 17:00 Trish will be running an online live teaching session where Trish will answer questions from the revision/practice worksheets and will dive into questions that learners struggle with. She will also outline exam tips relating to the week’s content and then overview the following week’s content.
No matter where you are in South Africa, you can get into the classroom with Trish! The Friday live sessions will be recorded and made available to the learners afterwards. So if you miss one, no problem!

Parents, this is what you need to know!
If you are a parent who is thinking about purchasing this course for their child, please note that we aim to involve you in this journey. Don’t worry! You won’t have to do any Math, not unless you really want to 🙂 However, this is a critical and stressful time for your child and so you have an important role to play in motivating and encouraging their progress. We do the heavy lifting but a supportive hand from a committed parent makes a massive difference too. With this in mind, we will send you messages to keep you in the loop on progress and also to give advice on how to keep your learner on track.
This course is meant to be intense and should be intense. Hard work pays off and this is a critical time for hard work. Putting in the right work at this stage can make a 10% difference (in our experience) in a learner’s Final Maths result. So although your child might be worried about doing this along with all the other learning they need to do, that should not be the reason not to do this course. In our opinion, the 8 hours needed per week for this course is exactly the level of extra effort (on top of their normal school hours) that your child needs to be putting in!
