Purpose of this job
Establish new corporate and schools business, maintain key relationships with existing clients and sell Advantage Learning Technologies (ALT) offerings to both.
The SPA’s primary responsibility is serving clients by selling products and services and meeting client needs. In addition to this, the SPA is required to inform the business of market trends relating to the ALT’s divisional products and services, and continually innovate in this space to keep ALT’s offering relevant. The SPA is a premium brand ambassador to the organisation at all times.
Key areas of responsibility
- Sell ALT Divisional (AdvantageLearn.com & Salt) Products and Services to SMEs, Corporates, Schools and other educational institutions Market.
- Present confidently to large audiences as well as to individuals. (Presentation Skills)
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge.
- Address and resolves client complaints.
- Service and maintain good standing with existing accounts.
- Compile daily, weekly and monthly reports on the pipeline and status of each client and provide information to the Head of Sales and other relevant internal divisions.
- Attend weekly and monthly internal meetings to provide feedback and update on pipeline.
- Sell ALT Divisional (AdvantageLearn.com & Salt) Products and Services to SMEs, Corporates, Schools and other educational institutions Market.

- Attend weekly and monthly internal meetings to provide feedback and update on pipeline.
- Spend time finding, developing and maintaining key sales Channels. These are typically BEE consultants, Educational Psychologists, Management Consultants, Marketing Agencies, Accountants etc.
- Hunt for new clients and be aggressive in sales and make at least 40 new sales calls per week.
- Achieve meeting target as set out by the target agenda.
- Maintain relationships with all their clients to facilitate good relations and a high probability for retention of clients year-on-year.
- Keep and maintain contact with MFC (Middle Finger Club) potential clients on a monthly basis through value add communication.
- Schedule and attend at least 2 observation sessions (also known as sales pitches) per year.
Skills, Competencies and Minimum Criteria
- A degree or diploma in Sales / Marketing / Commerce is preferential.
- Three to five years of industry sales experience
- Strong experience in group facilitation and presentations is an inherent requirement of the role.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Previous experience using a CRM system
- Proven ability to learn vast quantities of material in a short period of time.
- Creative and strategic ability in developing solutions for clients.

The Employee might be required to travel and will be compensated on a per-kilometre basis or on an S&T basis if required to stay overnight.
